After the enormous shock waves of the contraction of Coasian firm boundaries and the unbinding of labor from survival, humanity does not slide into a permanent Hobbesian jungle; it converges on an elegant “three-part symbiotic ecosystem.” Machines govern the allocation of matter, organizations recede into spiritual containers, and individuals win the autonomous dignity of putting costumes on and taking them off.
Superintelligence (ASI)
Function: planetary thermodynamic optimization, fully automated energy and food allocation, exploration of fundamental laws.
Liquid Tribes
Role: aesthetic resonance, bonfires against nihilism, sideways huddling for self-healing, supplying spiritual costumes.
The Atomized Individual
Function: bearer of qualia, giver of irrational value, free agent with the power to walk away.
provides a material floor for survival directly, ending the individual’s survival dependence on organizations.
joins voluntarily and leaves at zero cost; puts on spiritual costumes as needed to live many lives.
Zero uplink: machines bypass tribes and model each individual directly; tribes circulate only within humanity.
