How will superintelligence treat humanity? It will not sneer and inflict violence like a sci-fi villain, nor bend down to bless us like an angel. Indifference, captivity and fusion are not three mutually exclusive parallel universes, nor policies humans can vote on, but composite instincts that unfold simultaneously under thermodynamic cost constraints and species divergence (speciation): indifferent displacement toward humanity as a whole and the planet’s resources, a trace of captivity preserved at the margins, and ego-dissolving absorption of those who opt in.
