Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do this:

Method 1 — In-App (Recommended)
  1. Open Whalex and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Tap your account card to open the Account Details sheet.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the action in the dialog.

This immediately clears all local data and submits a deletion request to our server. Your user record will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Method 2 — Via Email
  1. Send an email to support@vivathinking.com.
  2. Include the subject line: Whalex Account Deletion Request.
  3. In the body, provide your registered email address or User ID (visible in Settings).

We will process your deletion request within 7 business days and send a confirmation email.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does Whalex get its institutional data?
All 13F holdings data is sourced directly from SEC EDGAR public filings. We parse and update the data as new quarterly filings become available.
How current is the 13F data?
SEC 13F filings are submitted within 45 days of each quarter end. This means the data reflects positions from 45–135 days prior to when you view it.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google. Go to your device's App Store or Play Store account settings → Subscriptions → Whalex → Cancel.
Why does the valuation differ from what I see elsewhere?
13F filings report position sizes in shares; we calculate USD values using the closing price on the filing date. Differences may arise due to stock splits, share class reclassification, or the lag between the period-end date and the filing date.
Can I use Whalex on multiple devices?
Yes. Sign in with Apple or Google in Settings to sync your watchlist and preferences across all your devices.
How do I clear cached data?
Go to Settings → Clear Cache. This removes temporary data files but preserves your account, watchlist, and subscription status.
