Creation Modes
Upload or link an audio file, optionally paste custom subtitles via the Subtitle Editor, and let the platform generate timed scenes, images, and a video file for the narration.

1. How do I create a video from an audio file?
Open the Create tab, choose Audio to Video, then either upload a file or provide an audio URL. You can keep auto-generated subtitles or enable the Subtitle Editor to paste your own SRT script. Pick a style preset, tap Create, and the app will upload the audio, request subtitles or images, and start the video render.
2. How do I generate narration from a script?
Select Audio inside the Create tab, name your project, and paste the script. When you submit, Viva Video creates a task, calls the TTS service, and stores the voice track on the task so you can reuse it for subtitles or full video generation later.
3. How do I build a video from slides or PDFs?
Choose Slide in the Create tab. Upload a PDF/PPT or provide a public link, confirm the detected file type, and submit. The document is uploaded through a presigned URL, processed server-side, and the resulting segments/images appear in the Task Detail timeline once ready.
4. How do I refresh a task's latest status?
From Home tap the refresh icon, or open Task Detail and click the colored status badge. Manual refresh pings the backend for the newest progress, while automatic polling continues in the background when a task is still running.
5. How do I edit the timeline or subtitles?
Inside Task Detail use the timeline cards: open an image's action menu to edit, add, regenerate, or delete scenes, or tap Edit Subtitles to launch the full SRT editor with validation, drag-and-drop import, and preview.
6. How do I customize the look and feel?
Set defaults with the Video Style Editor on the Create screens (layout presets, subtitle font size/color) and refine a single task via the Style Config panel in Task Detail. JSON edits are validated before being saved to the backend.
7. Where is my project data stored?
Task metadata is cached locally using SQLite (mobile/desktop) or SharedPreferences (web) for fast reloads. Media uploads use short-lived presigned URLs and persist on Viva's cloud storage; only minimal references are kept on the device.
8. What should I do when generation fails?
Open the task, read the error banner, and use the context actions: Retry the whole task, regenerate specific images, reprocess the source document, or adjust subtitles/style before trying again. If the problem persists, capture the task ID and contact support.
Advanced Settings
- Theme & Language: Switch between light, dark, or system themes and toggle English/Chinese in Settings > Appearance/Language.
- API Keys: Manage Gemini and Imagen credentials under Settings > API Keys when you need to override the default providers.
- Style Config Overrides: Edit the raw JSON style config per task to change branding, prompts, or render parameters—validation runs before the update is sent.
- Account & Sign-out: Clear cached credentials and trigger a fresh sign-in flow directly from the Settings page.
