1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Viva Video, we may collect:
- Account and profile details provided when you sign in or contact support.
- Project data such as task names, audio uploads or links, subtitle scripts, style configuration JSON, document uploads (PDF/PPT), generated images, and rendered videos.
- Application metadata including task IDs, status updates, refresh timestamps, error logs, and feature usage analytics.
- Device and technical information like device type, OS version, locale, and anonymized identifiers necessary for diagnostics.
- Feedback and support messages submitted through in-app forms or email.
2. How We Use Information
We process data to:
- Provide core functionality such as video generation, subtitle editing, timeline management, and project synchronization.
- Upload media to secure storage, trigger AI services (e.g., TTS, image generation), and deliver results back to the app.
- Maintain local caches for faster loading and offline access.
- Monitor service reliability, debug issues, and improve product quality.
- Send administrative notifications or respond to support requests.
3. Local Storage and Sync
On mobile and desktop builds, task summaries are stored locally using SQLite; on the web client we use browser storage (such as IndexedDB or SharedPreferences equivalents). You can clear cached data from the settings menu, which removes locally stored project history and preferences.
4. Cloud Processing and Retention
When you upload audio, documents, or images, the files are transferred via short-lived presigned URLs to Viva Thinking’s managed storage (e.g., Cloudflare R2 or equivalent) for processing. We retain uploaded media and generated outputs only as long as necessary to operate the Service, fulfill legal obligations, or comply with your requests. Backups may persist for a limited period before they are purged.
5. Third-Party Services and Sharing
We may share data with trusted processors that help us operate the Service, such as AI model providers (Gemini, Imagen, TTS engines), analytics tools, or cloud infrastructure vendors. These partners are bound by contractual obligations to protect your information. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising purposes.
6. Security
We implement technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. However, no system is perfectly secure; please use caution when transmitting sensitive information and notify us if you suspect account compromise.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You may:
- Access and edit task settings, subtitles, and style configurations within the app.
- Delete local history via the settings page.
- Request deletion of backend-stored project data by contacting support with the relevant task ID.
- Update language or theme preferences at any time.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights (e.g., data portability or objection). Contact us to exercise these rights.
8. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you reside. We rely on contractual safeguards and industry-standard protections when transferring data across borders.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to delete it.
10. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice within the app. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
