VivaThinking Technology Co., Ltd. ("VivaThinking", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the ScanSpace iOS application and related web services (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
ScanSpace is designed to process 3D spatial scans and floor plans primarily on your device. Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- 3D Spatial & Mesh Data: Spatial dimensions, room layouts, wall boundaries, opening marks (doors/windows), and 3D mesh data captured via Apple LiDAR and RoomPlan API. This data is processed locally on your device and is only uploaded if you choose to enable Cloud Sync or Web Share links.
- Account & Identity Information: Anonymous User IDs or Apple Sign-In identifiers used to sync your subscription status, cloud backups, and project data across your devices.
- Project Metadata: Project names, creation timestamps, floor area metrics, wall counts, and thumbnail images.
- Technical & Diagnostic Data: Device model, iOS version, anonymized crash logs, and performance metrics necessary for app stability and error troubleshooting. We do NOT use third-party advertising tracking SDKs.
2. How We Use Information
We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:
- Providing core app functionalities, including 3D scanning, 2D/3D floor plan generation, and CAD/PDF export.
- Synchronizing your projects, metrics, and Pro subscription status across your devices.
- Generating read-only Web 3D sharing links when you explicitly request to share a project.
- Diagnosing application errors, maintaining server security, and improving algorithm performance.
3. Local Storage and Data Control
Your room scans, 2D floor plans, DXF vector files, and 3D models are stored locally on your device using encrypted sandbox storage. You can edit, export, or delete any project at any time directly within the app.
4. Cloud Sync & Web Sharing
If you choose to use Cloud Backup or Web 3D Share features, your encrypted project assets are transmitted securely via HTTPS to VivaThinking's servers. Web sharing links generate a unique private token. Only users with the exact URL can access the read-only 3D viewer.
5. Third-Party Services & Advertising
We do not sell your personal data or 3D scan data to any third party. We do not run behavioral targeted advertising in ScanSpace. Third-party integrations are strictly limited to Apple App Store for In-App Purchase and subscription management.
6. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain your cloud backup data as long as your account remains active. You can delete your cloud backups or initiate account deletion at any time in the App Settings (`Profile -> Account -> Delete Account`). Upon account deletion, your cloud backups and associated tokens will be permanently erased from our servers within 30 days.
7. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures (including TLS/HTTPS encryption in transit and access controls) to protect your data. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.
